What’s new
The changes in each version of My First Piano.
Version 0.3 October 2026
- English, Spanish and Portuguese. The whole app, including the song names where a well-known name exists, in the language you choose in Settings. The first time, it follows the language of Windows.
- Players. Each person keeps their own progress, songs and settings. Save a player to a file and load it on another computer, or move from Free to Pro.
- Find the Note. A short game that teaches where every note lives on the keyboard.
- My progress. Stars, days in a row and badges, such as “Notes C to G”, and a way to start over.
- Progress reports. Save a report as a PDF, like a school report, or the numbers as a spreadsheet, and a class summary for teachers.
- Help. A short how-to inside the app.
- Words. Songs that have lyrics can show them while you play.
- Pro: straighten photos of sheet music that were taken at an angle.
- A tidier top bar on smaller screens.
Version 0.2 October 2026
- The first release of the Free and Pro editions for the Microsoft Store.
- Falling notes with colors, note names, Do-Re-Mi and staff positions; “Wait for me” and “Follow the beat”; speeds from slow to faster than normal; right hand, left hand or both.
- A built-in library of songs, exercises and original pieces, with a Start here path (Pro has the full library).
- Pro: your own songs, recording from your piano, MIDI and MusicXML import, and a sheet-music reader that works on your computer.
